Waist holster

This type of holster can be divided into two types: the outside of the waistband and the inside of the waistband, usually made of leather or nylon. The OTW type is worn through the waistband with a webbing or a fixed buckle, and the ITW type is fixed on the edge of the waistband, and both are placed on the side of the dominant hand. It can be seen that this is a fairly stable way of carrying firearms, so many law enforcement agencies encourage police officers to carry firearms in this way.

Service/tactical holster

For uniformed personnel who can legally and openly carry handguns, privacy is often not a paramount consideration, so the holster can be attached to the outside of the service belt.
